Why Most Water Restoration Pros Are Doing It Wrong
(and How To Fix It)
Many professionals rely on guesswork or outdated methods instead of science-backed metrics, leading to slower drying times and frustrated customers.
Unpredictable drying times make it harder to plan schedules, communicate timelines to clients, and maintain a professional reputation.
Inefficient drying puts restoration professionals at risk of facing costly callbacks, damaged reputations, and potential liability issues.
Without a reliable way to measure and compare equipment efficiency, restoration pros risk using the wrong tools for the job, extending drying times unnecessarily.
Restoration projects that drag on for too long damage relationships with clients, insurers and can result in delayed payments or reduced payouts.
Without a clear algorithm or metric to guide decision-making, teams struggle to achieve consistent, measurable results across various conditions and various projects.

I came to the class not knowing a lot. My operations manager and myself decided to come. And It drastically exceeded our expectations. This is something that is inevitably going to become industry standard. If you aren't coming to this class, you're already way behind. And if you don't come to this class, you're going to be left behind.

Download the E3 App
This app is built for all levels of restorers in the water mitigation industry. For the first time ever these proprietary algorithms and metrics will give the restorer complete control of their drying chamber regardless of the size, class, equipment used or outside conditions instead of the restorer being controlled by their chamber. The keystone metric for this app is the patent pending E3 metric that can evaluate the exact evaporation ability of any condition in a drying chamber and the daily E3 targets that have been set for all different types of drying equipment for all possible water classes and outside conditions. This metric also allows for all different types of equipment to be specifically ranked or compared to prove which is the best for any job scenario.

Chuck Dewald III
Chuck was practically born into the restoration industry. He set up air movers as a child when his arms were barely strong enough to carry them. The son of Chuck Dewald Jr., the designer and architect of the world’s first hands-on drying school, Chuck Dewald III was told at an early age that he would have to work hard for everything and nothing would be given to him. He demonstrated his strong work ethic at a very early age, and when he was 9 years old he started mowing lawns for money. He asked his dad for a lawn mower, and his father drove him to the local bank and firmly told him to go inside and get a loan for the lawn mower.

I started my journey in the cleaning and restoration industry back in 1999 with Stanley Steemer in Fort Wayne, IN, where I spent three years learning the ropes of carpet cleaning. In March of 2002, my wife Angi and I took a big step and founded Americlean Tile & Grout Inc., focusing initially on hard surface flooring and carpet cleaning. Two years in, we received a water loss job from a movie theater client. Without the experience to handle the project ourselves, we referred the work to a competitor. But that experience sparked a deep interest in the restoration process, and I knew I had to pursue training in water damage mitigation.
Dave Sweet
My journey in the cleaning and restoration industry began in 1990 with a single cleaning truck and a determination to create a better life for my family. In 1995, I expanded into water damage restoration with the guidance of Bob Bonwell from Advantage Marketing. Bob introduced me to another driven professional, and together, we took on larger restoration projects. This partnership showed me the potential for growth in combining cleaning with restoration services. Initially, I tackled these jobs with minimal training, learning through experience.
